✥ SUMMARY

The essay analyzes primary research data regarding the age group, gender, and interest of potential audiences for a romance drama film. The majority of respondents were under 18 years old, and the gender split was roughly equal, but our team decided to focus more on the female gaze. The majority of respondents were enthusiastic about watching a romance drama film, and there was a suggestion to include comedy elements to broaden the potential audience. The team also received feedback on their script, with positive comments about the characters and mystery elements but negative comments about the writing style. Finally, recommendations were made for filming challenges and improving the character descriptions.

✥ ANALYZE THE PRIMARY RESEARCH

Disclaim: This article will only discuss the most important questions.

    I. AGE GROUP

Based on the data collected from the form we had circulated, it has come to our attention that out of the 54 individuals who responded, a staggering 88.9% of them belong to the age group that falls under 18 years old. The next highest percentage of responses came from the age group of 18-24 years old. Given that the majority of our audience comprises teenagers, it is our responsibility to ensure that all the content we produce is appropriate for all age groups and does not contain any material that could be deemed harmful or offensive. Therefore, we will take all necessary steps to ensure that our content is suitable for everyone and does not require any parental advisory warnings. Also, we realize picking familiar content will help the project become closer to the audience.

After reviewing the script and researching online, the beach scene became a two-sided blade. On one side doctor's papers claim it is not safe to talk about suicide with adolescence, an official website of the United States government, the National Library of Medicine, on the other side, published research that says the suicide rate is now climbing in the young age. But our screenplay coped with the problem well with the solution: metaphor the subject.

    II. GENDER

Biểu Δ‘α»“ cΓ’u trαΊ£ lời của biểu mαΊ«u. TΓͺn cΓ’u hỏi: What gender are you?. Sα»‘ lượng cΓ’u trαΊ£ lời: 54 cΓ’u trαΊ£ lời.

The graph illustrates a draw between males and females taking the form. However, according to a survey by the Romance Writers of America, 84% of romance readers are women. Similarly, a study conducted by Goodreads found that 90% of the top 100 romance novels on their site were written by women. While there are certainly men who enjoy romance novels and films, the genre has historically been marketed primarily toward women. This may be due to societal expectations and gender roles that have been perpetuated over time. That is why my team came up with the conclusion that we will concentrate on the female gaze more.

However, it is important to note that individual preferences can vary greatly, and not all women are interested in romance while not all men are disinterested.

    III. WOULD YOU?

Biểu Δ‘α»“ cΓ’u trαΊ£ lời của biểu mαΊ«u. TΓͺn cΓ’u hỏi: Would you be interested in a Romance Drama movie?. Sα»‘ lượng cΓ’u trαΊ£ lời: 42 cΓ’u trαΊ£ lời.
Out of a group of 54 individuals, 42 indicated their enthusiasm for watching a Romance Drama film. Of those 42, 27 voted "Yes" while 15 voted "Maybe". Given these results, it may be beneficial to explore the inclusion of an additional sub-genre in the opening scene to expand the potential audience. For example, Comedy is a highly favored genre with a broad appeal.

Studies have shown that comedy and romance are a popular combination among audiences. According to a survey conducted by the National Research Group, 70% of moviegoers enjoy romantic comedies. In fact, romantic comedies have been shown to have the highest box office success rate among all movie genres, with an average box office revenue of $126 million per film. Additionally, a study by the University of Kansas found that watching romantic comedies can actually improve the quality of romantic relationships by promoting communication and positive emotions. By combining the two genres, filmmakers can attract a wider audience and potentially increase the success of the film.

    IV. FEEDBACK

We have received a lot of feedback about our work recently, and we have noticed that many people tend to appreciate the characters in our story more than the actual script. In fact, some of our readers have specifically pointed out the mystery elements that we included in the story and expressed their excitement about it. However, we have also received some negative feedback from readers who felt that our script was nothing special and resembled a slice of life, which was not their cup of tea. This has caused us to rethink how we have described our script in the past and to consider whether the scene at school or our writing style has contributed to this perception. Upon further investigation, we discovered that our choice of words may have caused misunderstandings and confusion among our readers.

This was also spotted by the audience as later, they commented on the improvement sections that they believe we are making things complicated by the writing of a 19th-century author! We quickly made our edit on the description of the form and made it easier to spot to persuade people to actually read it.

    V. RECOMMENDATION

Out of 30 responses, these two are the most descriptive of how we can improve. They pointed out that we:

- Concerns about filming the "basketball game" scene due to the large number of attendees and limited retakes.
- Caution is needed when filming the first scene at the beach at night due to the darkness, and the need to consider lighting to avoid visibility issues.
- Feedback on the character description for "EMMA DEROSS DIAZ", with concerns that the language used may be too complex for the target audience.
- Overall recommendation to seriously consider the feasibility of filming these shots.
- Increasing the proportion time for characters' speech/ dialogue to be more expressive through wording, voice emotions

We seriously considering those to improve the screenplay. After having a discussion with the others, we changed the basketball game scene to where they walked in the hallway/ stairway, the others have been suggested in my "Location Scouting" post.
